2 days of knowledge and inspiration – everything under one roof
As the maritime industry continues to navigate new horizons, the Scandinavian Maritime Fair and Conference (SMFC) proudly returns with a new and flexible concept, promising two days of knowledge exchange and inspiration.
Scheduled for the 14 – 15 May in Copenhagen, SMFC24 is dedicated to bringing together maritime industry stakeholders from across Scandinavia and beyond.
Celebrating 10 years
2024 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Danish Maritime Fair which was initially launched in conjunction with the Danish Maritime Days back in 2014. To celebrate this milestone, SMFC is evolving with a renewed international perspective and an adaptable format aimed at maximizing participant engagement and value.
Historic venue
The event is held in the beautiful, high-ceilinged old halls of Øksnehallen in the center of Copenhagen, initially a cattle market constructed in 1889. Attendees can expect 2 days where networking, collaboration, and innovation take center stage. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a wide selection of exhibitors and presentations showcasing the latest innovations and trends within the maritime sector.
Introducing a strong program and a new conference concept
Concurrent with the exhibition, the conference offers a strong program – a portfolio of exciting sessions addressing key challenges and opportunities where visitors can delve into important topics covering everything from cultural differences on board to environmental challenges in the industry. There is something for everyone with an interest in maritime and the program is designed to resonate with a diverse international audience.
Breaking away from conventional conference models, SMFC introduces a new flexible concept where participants can tailor their experience by selecting and buying access to individual sessions of interest. It is of course also possible to buy 1-day and 2-day tickets. The exhibition has free access subject to registration.
Conference themes:
• Recruitment and Retention – Cultural Differences & Life Onboard
• Nuclear – Drivers & Barriers
• Digitalization & Maritime Security
• Underwater Radiated Noise – Challenges & Solutions
• Long-term Environmental Sustainability in Shipping
• Maritime Energy Transition in the Nordics (Project MAREN)
