NIRAS bolsters offshore wind activities in APAC

Denmark-headquartered consultancy NIRAS has revealed plans to enhance its presence in the Asia-Pacific offshore wind market.

In line with this, NIRAS appointed its first company member in Japan, Seiko Toki, who took over the role of senior consultant to further expand the services.

Toki will spearhead the company’s activities in Japan, as well as work with the environment and consent team to deliver ESIA and consultancy projects across the APAC region.

Additionally, NIRAS appointed a new managing director in Taiwan, where it established a subsidiary in 2017.

The new managing director Raoul Kubitschek will be leading NIRAS’ engineering consultancy and offshore wind services in the Taiwanese market.

“I am truly delighted to be the first member of NIRAS in Japan and work with our global and highly skilled team towards helping to transition the Japanese as well as APAC energy mix to be more sustainable by bringing NIRAS global experience to newly emerging Offshore Wind markets,” Toki said.
