Spectrum Offshore has selected MHO-Co’s vessel MHO Grimsby to assist the construction survey support at the Hornsea Two offshore wind project.
The vessel, which is equipped with special survey gear for the task, will be working on the project for the next two years, MHO-Co said.
Last month, Spectrum secured a construction survey support contract for Hornsea Two, under which it will provide on-demand geophysical survey capacity.
Additionally, MHO-Co recently signed a contract with Afai Southern Shipyard in China for the construction of two crew transfer vessels with hybrid propulsion for the 1.4 GW offshore wind farm.
Hornsea Two will comprise 165 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines mounted on monopile foundations some 89km north-east of Grimsby. Commissioning is scheduled for 2022.
